The foundation has raised more than $300 million privately to build the memorial. Crystal is to join his "Analyze This" co-star, Robert De Niro, on the 43-member board.

NEW YORK (AP) - July 17, 2008 The 60-year-old actor is set to join the board of directors of
the National September 11th Memorial and Museum, the foundation
raising money to build the memorial to the 2001 terrorist attacks.
A board meeting is scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
Crystal took part in a benefit concert for the city a month
after the attacks. He also has co-hosted eight Comic Relief
telethons on HBO to raise money for the homeless.
