Man faces gun, drug charges after fight in Dover

DOVER, Del. (AP) - July 21, 2008 Police say two plainclothes officers saw 25-year-old Dane Coward and 24-year-old Jermaine Morris, both of Dover, arguing with two other people. Then, police say, one officer saw Coward put a handgun into a vehicle.

After the men were detained, investigators found the weapon and 5.1 grams of marijuana in the vehicle.

Coward was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of ammunition by a person prohibited, possession of a weapon in a safe school zone, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Morris was charged with disorderly conduct.
