Landmark diner closed

MARLTON, N.J. - July 25, 2008 State officials say the owners failed to pay at least 37 thousand dollars in taxes.

Olga's Diner, at the corner of Routes 70 and 73 in Marlton, has been open since 1973.

Yesterday, the state division of taxation slapped a "notice of seizure" sign on the front door.

Officials say they had been working with the owners to pay the outstanding taxes since last December.

The popular eatery has faced increased competition in recent years, due to new shopping centers and chain restaurants.
