Phillies Wrap up Series with Nationals Tonight

WASHINGTON (AP) - July 31, 2008 Utley insisted he felt fine - and in his last two games, he's let his bat do the talking.

It's been pretty convincing, too.

He's homered in two consecutive games to lead the Phillies back into first place in the National League East, and tonight he'll try to help the Phils to a three-game sweep of the Nationals in Washington.

Utley is now just five homers shy of his career high of 32, and the Phillies have won four in a row to put them a half-game ahead of the New York Mets and 1 1/2 ahead of Florida.

The Nationals, meanwhile, are one loss shy of matching a season-high nine-game skid. They continue to own the worst record in baseball.
