What is the most dangerous weather?

Erica's Answer:

Here are a few tips to stay safe when flooding is in the forecast.

- Keep tabs on the forecast as it develops. The National Weather Service issues a Flood Watch or Flash Flood Watch when a quick rise in river or creek levels could occur.

- If you live close to an area that is prone to flooding, be prepared to evacuate if necessary. Have plenty of clean water in gallon bottles in case your water supply is contaminated.

- If you are on the road and you encounter a roadway that is completely covered in water, do not attempt to drive through it! Most drowning deaths occur when people underestimate the depth of the water, and before they know it, their car is flooded and they have nowhere to go.

If you follow these safety tips, you should have no trouble surviving America's #1 weather killer!
