Barn fire traps animals

OTTSVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA - August 4, 2008

Firefighters spent several hours on Monday morning trying to save animals trapped in a barn fire.

The blaze broke out at about 3:45 in the morning on the 3500 block of Farm School Road in Ottsville, Bucks County.

Firefighters had to haul in water tankers from surrounding areas because there was not enough water available near the fire.

The main structure of the barn has collapsed.

There's no word yet on how many animals were in the barn, and how many did not make it out.

There are no reports of any people being injured. Crews expect to be putting out hot spots for a few more hours.
