Authorities say it happened in Colwyn shortly after 10:35 a.m.
Shots were fired at a motorist near 3rd and Walnut Streets. One person who was hit was taken to Fitzgerald Hospital. That person's condition is not known at this time. A Colwyn police officer was also hospitalized for a knee injury, but was not hit during the gunfire.
Investigators have not yet said what sparked the shooting. Chopper 6 has spotted police officers from Colwyn and Darby on the scene.
