Dead animals discovered - Philadelphia News

It was a gruesome discovery and now the SPCA is tying to figure out how several animals ended up decapitated or gutted near the entrance to the park.Officials say a person walking through the park Monday discovered two decapitated roosters hanging from this tree.

"They're heads were wrapped in red bandanas and stuffed back inside of the animals," George Bengal of the SPCA said.

Several feet away SPCA officials also found the skeletal of remains of two more decapitated roosters and a decapitated pit bull, along with

SPCA officials say these killings appear to be related. Investigators are trying to determine if this is the work of a gang or some kind of religious ritual.

Investigators say the same vile writing was found on two poles near where the roosters were hanging.
