The accident closed both directions of I-76 in Upper Merion, Pa., in the construction zone between Rotue 202 and the Gulph Mills exits.
Police say at least 6 cars and a tractor trailer collided just before 11:30 p.m. The tractor trailer caught fire .
Of the 11 people who suffered injuries, four were flown to hospitals. The other 7 were taken by ground to several different locations for treatment.
The Schuylkill Expressway reopened just before 4 a.m.
