Phillies host Marlins again this afternoon

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - August 7, 2008 That hasn't been the case lately.

Hamels will look for his first win in more than a month when the Phillies play the decisive game of their series against the visiting Florida Marlins this afternoon at Citizens Bank Park.

Despite Hamels' problems, the Phillies have gotten better pitching overall while winning eight of their last 10 games. They're 2 1/2 games ahead of second-place Florida in the NL East after a 5-0 victory Wednesday. They lead the New York Mets by three games.

Marlins first baseman Mike Jacobs says every game right now against the Phils and Mets is like a playoff game in August.
