New eats in Rittenhouse Square

RITTENHOUSE SQUARE It is a 300-seat French bistro at 18th and Locust Streets on Rittenhouse Square.

Parc features authentic decor, traditional French bistro food, and a busy bar.

Executive chef Dominique Filoni is no stranger to the neighborhood, having cooked previously at the nearby Rittenhouse Hotel. But this place is his to run.

There is an in-house bakery producing hundreds of loaves of French bread daily. The menu includes favorites like beef bourguignonne, baked onion soup, escargots, and sauteed skate, a popular seafood dish in France that is selling surprisingly well here.

And when weather permits, you can dine on the sidewalk as well as in many of the dining rooms inside. There's a private party room, too.

For information or reservations, phone Parc at 215-545-2262, or go to their website.
