1 injured in South Philly shootout

An overnight shootout spans two city blocks in South Philadelphia. One person was wounded.

It happened along the 500 and 600 blocks of Carpenter Street. Shots rang out just after midnight.

The gunman shot out a car window - another bullet went through the window of a home.

The person who was shot is at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Witnesses tell police they saw four people running from the scene towards Montrose Street.
