Police superintendent Colonel Thomas MacLeish said the indictment stems from a state police investigation that began in late June following a routine review of traffic summonses issued by Wilson.
Authorities allege that the 28-year-old Wilson, a seven-year veteran of the force, falsified official police documents related to seven separate incidents dating to June of last year.
MacLeish said Wilson, who is free on $6,750 secured bond, has been suspended without pay and faces dismissal.
