Turks and Caicos premier to divorce US actress

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) - August 13, 2008 Michael Misick says he is committed to dissolving the marriage amicably. He could not be reached for comment on Wednesday. He declined to provide details in a brief statement issued Tuesday.

The announcement comes as the FBI investigates a claim that Misick raped a Puerto Rican woman this year. He repeatedly has denied the allegation.

Local news media reports say Misick and McCoy married in 2006 after a whirlwind romance.

McCoy is a Chicago native who has appeared in movies like "Beauty Shop" and "Sahara," as well as a music video by Tupac Shakur.
