Suspect dies in attempted burglary

A man has died after a shooting in South Philadelphia Around 10:35 Thursday morning Philadelphia Police were dispatched to the 1500 block of Federal Street for the report of a shooting. When they arrived they found a man around 18-years-old suffering from a gun shot wound.

It is reported that a man walked into Todaro's locksmith store with a gun and tried to rob the store. The worker or owner turned with a gun and shot the robber.

The man was transported to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital with a gunshot wound to the head. He later succumbed to his injuries.

South detectives are investigating.
