Former Sixer McKie in Court on gun charges

NORRISTOWN, Pa. - August 15, 2008 -

McKie was placed in an ARD program, which is a program for first-time offenders. He was also ordered to pay the standard cost of the program which is $300. He was issued two years probation and ordered to pay for the cost of prosecution.

In addition, he will have to donate $10,000 to three separate charities, for a total of $30,000.

Lastly, he was ordered 200 hours of community serivce to be done in Montgomery County, which will be monitored by the DA's office.

McKie's lawyer told Action News that he is satisfied with the punishment, and maintains that McKie made an honest mistake while filling out the gun purchase forms.
