Two men are under arrest in the murder of a man who was killed while walking to work.

Police arrested 19 year old Dominique Earl and 22 year old Kason Horta on Friday. Both are charged with first degree murder.

Investigators say 46 year old Kanu Patel was murdered in Newark, Delaware on Saturday, August 9th at 4:30 a.m., as he walked to his job at Dunkin' Donuts.

Patel's wife also works at the store, and found he wasn't there when she arrived. She retraced their steps and found her husband's lifeless body a half block away. He had been robbed and shot.

Detectives believe the suspects were driving by, saw Patel, and stopped to rob him.

Patel's family tells Action News they are devastated, but relieved to know suspects have been captured.

"The whole family is happy because we need to know who did it and why," said Rohit Patel. "It's clear. So we're all happy now."

Patel had been in the United States for nine years.
