NJ man pleads guilty to second killing

FREEHOLD, N.J. (AP) - August 16, 2008 On Friday, the Neptune man pleaded guilty to doing it again. And unlike the aggravated manslaughter conviction from last time, Arroyo this time has pleaded guilty to murder.

The 53-year-old Arroyo faces 30 years in prison under his plea agreement with Monmouth County prosecutors.

Authorities say Arroyo picked up 25-year-old Lateea Holmes and then strangled the Long Branch woman. Her partially clad body was found in a wooded area in Neptune last October.

In admitting to the killing, Arroyo said he could recall little of what he did because he was drinking.

Prosecutors say the killing had a chilling similarity to Arroyo's killing of Melinda Moran in 1992.
