Cook County, Illinois, deputies report busting 66 wanted people with a tax rebate sting.
More than 30 fugitives showed up at a fake tax office, expecting to get a tax rebate check.
Instead of a check, they got cuffed.
Deputies add the sting operation generated leads that resulted in another 34 arrests.
Authorities say the outstanding warrants were for everything from failure to pay child support to burglary.
Some of those arrested still thought they had a rebate coming.
One fugitive wanted to know if he could put the tax check toward his bail.
