Police say the driver tried to elude police by driving the wrong way on State Route 22, and he crashed head-on into a car driven by 31-year-old Jolean Labar of Washington, N.J. Both she and the pickup driver died.
Police say they still haven't positively identified the driver of the pickup or his female passenger, who's in critical condition at St. Luke's Hospital.
Two other vehicles were damaged; one of their drivers reported light pain in her neck and back.
State police at Bethlehem are investigating.
