Dad faces jail in road rage incident

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (AP) - August 27, 2008 Bucks County Judge Rea Boylan also ruled Tuesday that 30-year-old John Carrothers of Newtown Township is barred from drinking, driving or owning a weapon and must continue mental health and drug treatment.

A Newtown couple says Carrothers tailed their vehicle with high beams on, pulled over and exchanged words, and pulled a handgun and fired at their car. Carrothers pleaded guilty to charges including aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.

His attorney, Ray McHugh, says Carrothers has had therapy and drug rehabilitation and gone to anger management class.
