Man rescued from Oxford Circle Fire - Phladelphia News

Fire officials managed to rescue a man and put out a fire in the city's Oxford Circle section. It happened around 2:22pm Wednesday in the 5000 block of Alma Street.

Rescuers had reports of a kitchen fire with a man trapped on the second floor.

Fire fighters made quick work of the blaze placing it under control at 2:31pm.

The fire was in a 2 story middle of the row dwelling with smoke showing on the 1st floor.

The man, in his 60s, was removed from the fire and taken to Jeanes Hospital.

There is no word yet on his condition.
