Scranton teachers to go on strike
SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) - August 31, 2008
Members of the Scranton Federation of Teachers voted to
authorize a strike last week and union leaders decided to call a
strike after failing to work out an agreement Saturday. Another
negotiating session is scheduled Monday, but union President
Rosemary Boland says the two sides are far apart.
