The British environmentalist is trying to become the first woman to row alone across the Pacific Ocean.
She's now completed the initial leg of her epic voyage -- a 99-day, 2,900 mile row from San Francisco to the Hawaiian islands.
Savage says she wants to raise awareness about plastic garbage polluting the ocean.
She's taking a break before beginning the second of three legs of her solo journey.
She plans to start rowing again in early 2009.
