Hanna looms over the Delaware shore

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - September 5, 2008 - "Well, I had yesterday and today and I'm just crossing my fingers. Maybe tomorrow morning and then we ll have to wait out the rain," said Mike Salmon of Springfield, Virginia.

Workers in Rehoboth Beach spent the day removing about 200 garbage cans from the boardwalk. The tourist town has had its share of tropical storms before, and state officials say it pays to be prepared, and stay indoors.

"Just close the doors and enjoy a football game tomorrow," said Tony Pratt of the DNREC.

The storm is supposed to be out of our area by Sunday, and everyone at the beach is hoping they'll get at least one nice day before Monday.
