Abraham says he's been growing his Santa Claus-style beard and starched mustache for about 50 years. He says after a shower he uses hair gel to sculpt them.
Other competitors included a man who shaved his head leaving just a strip of hair across the top to connect his sideburns and another man whose sideburns were growing down to his chest.
The Coney Island Beard and Moustache Competition was held by the nonprofit community organization Coney Island USA at a circus sideshow theater.
