Vehicle hits, kills pedestrian in Bucks Co.

FALLS TWP., Pa. - September 8, 2008 Police and medics were dispatched to Penn Valley Road, between Wheatsheaf Road and Old Bristol Pike around 5:45. That's where the driver of a pickup truck struck and fatally wounded a pedestrian. The victim, said to be a 25-year-old woman from Morristown, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No word on any charges against the driver, but police have said it appears to have been an accident and the driver had no way of seeing the victim.

The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of the family.
