Franchise offers sporting goods for a fraction of retail

BERWYN, Pa. Sept. 17, 2008

As he checked out at the Play It Again Sports store in Berwyn, Pa., Sterin looked at his receipt and estimated he save close to 50% on equipment for his son.

If you need to buy sports equipment and saving up to 50% sounds good to you, or if you have old equipment in your basement or attic and you'd like to turn it into cash, you might want to follow the Sterins' lead check out one of the Play It Again Sports franchises in Berwyn, Lancaster, Reading, or Easton in Pennsylvania; Mount Laurel or Hamilton Township, New Jersey; or Dover, Del.

Berwyn franchise owner Marcie Romberger explains that the stores sell both new and used equipment. They buy gently used equipment and then turn it around to sell at a considerable discount off of retail.

The stores are chock-full of exercise equipment, and just about anything you might need for any sport you or your kids might play... skates, shoes, sticks, helmets, pads, racquets and more.

On average, you can sell gently used gear for about 25% of the retail price... and buy it for about 50% of retail.

It's great for parents whose kids change their minds about sports ... Or who outgrow their gear before they wear it out.

You can save even more with coupons you can print out from the stores' website and also by signing up for their email list. The link is: Play It Again Sports
