Does this scarecrow look familiar?

LAHASKA, PENNSYLVANIA - September 8, 2008 There are 70 public entries this year, in six different categories.

One of the entries is the "MOD Crow." It is scarecrow in the likeness of Action News morning anchor Matt O'Donnell.

Here is what was used to compose a MOD Crow:

- soda-bottle for his head

- hairpiece from a Gomez Adams costume (yes, the guy from the Adam's Family)

- swimming noodles for arms and legs (apparently hard to find this time of year)

- garbage bags for socks

- the tie, shirt, slacks and sport jacket were purchased at a thrift store in Plumstead

- lunch box was built from scratch, and includes decals depicting some of Matt's favorite things (including the University of Delaware)

- the news desk (which supports the lunchbox and a morning mug) is an upside-down trash can

- Matt's torso was put together with discarded office supplies (making him one of the more environmentally-friendly scarecrows)

- microphone is a toy from a party store

You can vote for your favorite scarecrow at Peddler's Village anytime between September 8 and October 26. Not that we are biased or anything, but do you think you could vote for the MOD Crow?

Admission and parking are free, by the way.
