Scholarships available for election guesses

Some political prognostication can get Sussex County students scholarship money.

The county's election year scholarship contest allows students 18 and under to guess who will win the November 4 general election in 23 national, state and local races.

The student will the most correct guesses gets a $300 scholarship, and five runners-up get $200 scholarships.

The program began in 2000 with money from the county council and the law firm of Griffin & Hackett.
