A Nor'Easter is a powerful storm that usually occurs in the winter or spring.

Nor'Easters bring high winds and heavy rainfall or snowfall to the Northeastern United States. That's where the name comes from.

A Nor'Easter is not necessarily a blizzard, but a lot of blizzards in the Northeastern USA fall under the Nor'Easter categorization. Beach erosion and flooding rains are also common with Nor'Easters.
