Saucon teachers go on strike

September 14, 2008 A last minute bargaining session Sunday went nowhere.

Teachers authorized a strike late last week.

The dispute is largely over salary, and what the district wants teachers to pay for healthcare coverage.

There will be no classes Monday in the Saucon Valley School District in Hellertown, Northampton County.
