Noth, best known for his role as Sarah Jessica Parker's major love interest on "Sex and the City," will appear in the world premiere of "Farragut North," Beau Willimon's play of political intrigue.
The Atlantic Theater Company production opens Nov. 12 at its off-Broadway theater. Preview performances begin Oct. 22.
According to Willimon, Noth will play "a veteran political operative, manager to an insurgent presidential campaign. A gruff, boisterous personality with a razor-sharp intelligence and an even sharper tongue."
John Gallagher Jr., a Tony winner for "Spring Awakening," portrays a young press secretary in the show. Also in the cast are Dan Bittner, Kate Blumberg, Otto Sanchez, Olivia Thirlby and Isiah Whitlock Jr. The director is Doug Hughes.
