Train springs herbicide leak - Philadelphia News

Emergency crews responded to a leaking train in Philadelphia overnight.

The chemical was spotted seeping out of the train around 12:15 a.m. in Southwest Philadelphia along tracks at 70th and Cobbs Creek Parkway.

The incident was placed "under control" in about 30 minutes after firefighters determined a herbicide was leaking from the train car. Officials are now trying to determine who owns the train car. It was on CSX tracks at the time of the leak.
