Raw milk update- One sample positive for bacteria

Harrisburg, Pa. - September 17, 2008

The raw milk sold at Hendricks (in Montgomery County) is suspected to be the culprit for making at least nine people sick. But other tests by the Department of Agriculture, done at the farm, have come up negative.

The owner of the farm, Trent Hendricks, also had independent testing done on his product and equipment and said those results are also negative for bacteria.

The Department of Agriculture will continue testing at the farm. Right now, the sale of raw milk at Hendricks is still suspended.
