Three hurt in paratransit crash

WILMINGTON, Del. - October 3, 2008 - The crash happened around 2:45 p.m. Friday afternoon.

Police say a car driven by 19-year-old Kelly Culbertson failed to yield the right-of-way on the ramp.

When police arrived, they found the DART bus teetering off the roadway after it had crashed through a guard rail. After stabilizing the bus, rescuers took one passenger and the bus driver to the hospital.

Culbertson was taken to the hospital as well. None of the injuries were serious.

The off-ramp was closed for an hour after the crash, but has since reopened.

Culbertson was issued a summons for failure to yield the right of way.
