Woman pistol-whipped, man stabbed in bar fight

A bar fight spilled into a Strawberry Mansion street early Saturday morning, leaving a woman pistol-whipped and a man stabbed in the stomach.

At about 2:40 in the morning, a heated exchanged started inside a club in the 2500 block of North 27th Street.

Several people then swarmed out of the club, jumped into cars and drove around the corner to 25th and Marston Streets.

There, they jumped out of the cars and resumed the fight.

During the struggle a woman was hit in the face repeatedly with a gun and a man was knifed in the stomach.

The man is in critical condtion. There's no word on the woman's condition.

Officers took one man in for questioning, but so far have not filed charges.

Police have not said what started the fight.
