Sub Brunner leads Central Michigan past Temple

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. (AP) - October 11, 2008 Brunner, a senior who had gone into the game with one pass attempt this season, finished 7-for-13 for 136 yards for the Chippewas (4-2, 3-0 Mid-American Conference).

LeFevour, the 2007 MAC Offensive Player of the Year, left in the second quarter with an ankle injury after completing 10-of-11 passes for 106 yards and two touchdown passes to Antonio Brown. Coach Butch Jones said after the game that LeFevour's injury was not serious.

Chester Stewart was 15-for-32 for 163 yards for Temple (2-5, 1-3). His 3-yard TD pass to Bruce Francis with 4:58 left before halftime tied the score at 14-14.

The Owls, however, committed four turnovers, including three interceptions by Stewart.

Anderson finished with eight receptions for 149 yards to lead Central Michigan, while Brown caught three passes for 33 yards.

Temple's Kee-ay Griffin led all rushers with 76 yards on 12 carries and ran 17 yards for a TD in the second quarter.
