Wilmington man accused in stabbing

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - October 12, 2008 Forty-two-year-old Matthew McCollum of Wilmington is charged with second-degree assault and other offenses. He's being held in the Howard Young Prison.

Police say the incident happened about 9:30 p.m. Saturday outside of Rox's Bar and Grill. Officers say McCollum began yelling at a man who bumped into his motorcycle, who then walked across the street to a bank parking lot.

Police say McCollum following the man and beat him. McCollum allegedly stabbed the man twice before leaving with the other assailants. He was arrested on Kirkwood Highway.
