Hazmat prompts evac at Lincoln University

OXFORD, Pa. - October 13, 2008 Fire Department Hazardous Material units were called to the campus between 11:30 and 12:00 after a quart bottle containing an unknown brown liquid substance was excavated during renovations being done at the building.

A University spokesperson says a science building was located on the site approximately 20 to 30 years ago and because of that the building was evacuated as a precaution.

There were no injuries.

The contents of the bottle is still being investigated at this time.

No information at this time on how many students were in the gym at the time.
