Dressing for the World Series

October 16, 2008 At noon, folks at Family Screen Printing in Bellmawr, New Jersey have been cranking out Phillies National League Championship T-shirts since midnight.

Though some of the employees may be blurry-eyed, they assure that every shirt is perfect.

The Bellmawr company is licensed by Major League Baseball to print two styles of shirts - a short sleeve and a long sleeve version. When all is done, momentarily, Family Screen Printing will have done 12,000 shirts.

And once Carlos Ruiz caught that final pop up, the presses began to roll, and they didn't stop all morning.

This is one of a few local companies contracted to provide the shirts to retail stores and the Phillies store at Citizens Bank Park.

Bob Armstrong, the owner of Family Screen Printing, tells us he sent his employees home at noon yesterday with the instructions; if the Phillies are ahead by two runs in the 7th inning, start heading in - if they're losing, wait until it's over and if they win come in.

Armstrong says to know if your shirt is a professionally printed shirt it will have a hologram sticker on the front.
