We had a few hay fights with Matt at the wheel and a couple of close calls as he figured out how to operate the tractor! Much to our delight, the folks at Linvilla wouldn't let Matt use the bullhorn!
They have 300 acres at Linvilla and something to do for people of all ages. Tam picked a "big boy" of a pumpkin! The largest she could find. I was thinking about my baby and picked a tiny baby pumpkin. David's had a few dents and Matt gently cut his large goard. Steve Linvilla told us that the pumpkins we pick say a lot about ourselves! He said Matt was clearly a "manly man" (I'd have to agree). David was a little "dense" because of his dents! (not so!!). Tam stared the poor guy down so he said she was clearly perfect! My sweet little pumpkin -made me "cute" according to Steve.
On the way back it was Tam who took the wheel and frankly we all feared for our lives! She's never driven a stick shift. But she did a GREAT job! Girl power at its finest! Although, there was a point where we started rolling backwards - but I'm going to let her go on that one!
Then a professional pumpkin carver (what a job, right?) who give us all some great tips. More on that later.
