Route 206 in Shamong has reopened to traffic as smoke from a nearby forest fire dissipated.

But the roadway will be closed again at 9 p.m. Friday. Conditions will be evaluated Saturday morning before a decision is made on whether it can be used by traffic on Saturday.

The fire has burned more than 1,800 acres in an area where Atlantic, Camden and Burlington counties converge.
