Child rescued from burning house

Firefighters had to battle through flames to rescue a four-year-old boy trapped in a Southwest Philadelphia house.

The blaze broke out at about 2:15 Tuesday morning on the 2600 block of Holbrook Street.

When firefighters arrived and were told the boy was trapped, they rushed into the burning building.

There's no word on the child's condition.

He's at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with burns.

The fire was quickly placed under control.

There were no other injuries.

Investigators are searching for the cause.
