Library forgives all kids

Kids are getting a break from the Boston Public Library.

Library officials say young readers won't have to pay any lost book charges or fines on overdue books returned this coming Saturday.

All is forgiven for more than 50,000 children who use the Boston Public Library.

Boston Mayor Thomas Menino and Boston Public Library President Amy Ryan say they'll summon a magician to make those fines "disappear."

Officials say they hope forgiving the late fees will encourage children to use the library.
