About 1,100 still without power in NJ

TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - October 31, 2008 Jersey Central Power & Light says about 600 are in the Washington Township area of Warren County. More than 400 are around Dover in Morris County.

Utility crews are replacing poles, transformers and power lines damaged by wet snow and strong winds that downed tree limbs.

A JCP&L spokesman says the utility expects to have service restored by 6 p.m. Friday.

About 80,000 customers lost electricity during the height of the storm Tuesday.
