Man arrested in Pa. woman's beating death

LANCASTER, Pa. (AP) - November 9, 2008 Lancaster police say the body of 28-year-old Tonya Jean Fetrow was found at about 7 a.m. Sunday in East Donegal Township.

Police allege that 29-year-old Kenneth Brown Jr., of Philadelphia, beat Fetrow on a Lancaster street corner shortly after midnight. Police say witnesses saw Brown choke, punch and stomp on the victim, and they allege that he drove her body 15 miles from the scene and dumped it in a random driveway.

Brown was arrested Sunday afternoon and charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault. Investigators say he may be charged with homicide after an autopsy Sunday.

Brown remains in custody and it isn't clear whether he has an attorney.
