Possible dog ring bust in NJ

PENNS GROVE, N.J. - November 16, 2008 Police found six pit-bulls at the home, four in the basement and two in the back of the home.

Police say there was evidence of a dog fighting ring that might have taken place at the home as there was a carpet, believed to be used for the ring, and fresh blood on the walls.

At least one of the dogs had fresh wounds on it and some appeared to be unhealthy.

Three people from the home were taken in for questioning.

The Penns Grove Police, NJSPCA, and the Salem County Prosecutors office are investigating.
