Arrest in $700,000 armored car holdup - Philadelphia News

PHILADELPHIA - November 17, 2008 The armored car was making a delivery at a check cashing facility at 2700 South Randolph Street, Philadelphia at the time of the robbery.

Police are also trying to find /*Jeffrey Prout*/, 20, of North Philadelphia. He's described as:

  • 6'0" tall
  • 225 pounds
  • Prout should be considered armed and dangerous
Police say /*Harry Jackson*/ remained outside the check cashing facility while Prout, armed with a handgun, entered with the Dunbar guard. Prout forced the guard to the ground and took the delivery bag containing the cash.

Dunbar, in conjunction with Lloyd's of London insurance, has offered a reward in the amount of $40,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators and the recovery of the stolen funds.
