Cop shoots gunman in the arm - Philadelphia News

A Philadelphia police officer shot an armed suspect Saturday night after that suspect allegedly pulled a gun on him. It happened around 9:00 p.m. at Fifth and Somerset Streets in West Kensington.

Investigators say the officer was responding to a call in the area when the 20-year-old suspect pointed a gun at him.

When he refused to drop it, the officer shot him in the arm.

The suspect was taken to Temple University Hospital for treatment.

The officer wasn't hurt.
